It is seen in an announcement issued by the US NASA that the Orion capsule returned from orbiting the moon under the training mission 'Artemis 1'.

The 'Orion' space capsule that went to the moon under the 'Artemis 1' training mission did not land on the moon. The spacecraft entered the Moon's orbit and circled the Moon and returned to Earth. That was after 25 days of operation. The Orayan space capsule landed on the earth on December 1.

The space capsule 'Orayan' was designed to carry astronauts to the moon. The capsule was tested under 'Artemis 1' without astronauts.

Three human dummies or 'dummies' fitted with sensors for the mission were seated on the plane. Interrogation of the data obtained from those sensors has also started by now.

Apart from this, the 'heat shield' of the capsule is also tested. The capsule returned to the moon and entered Earth's orbit under extreme heat of 5,000 degrees Fahrenheit. The plane was protected from that heat because of the 'heat shield'.

NASA is all set to launch the Artemis 2 mission in 2024, based on how the Orion capsule fared on its journey to the moon and back. NASA has clarified that three astronauts will be involved in the 'Artemis 2' mission.
