Curiosity observes the dragon skeleton on the trench

Mars rover robots have observed many oddly shaped rocks on Mars.  On April 1, 2023 (Sol 3786), NASA's Curiosity rover observed a strange-looking rock formation.  On this rock are rows of more or less equally spaced "spike" sticking out of them.  They look like fossilized vertebrae.  Many people call them dragon bones.

Curiosity is currently exploring the Gediz Vallis region of Mount Sharp, and the scenery in this region is amazing.

The observation was first captured by MastCam a few days ago on Sol 3786 (the rover's mission day 3,786 on Mars), and several close-ups, albeit in black and white, have since been taken by the rover's ChemCam camera.
